Conveniently located across the street from Christopher Newport University, Newport News, VA, the Captain's Den coffeehouse is the best place for specialty coffees, exotic teas, delicious meals and tempting desserts.  We roast our own coffee each week, and have the warm and comfortable atmosphere of an old-world coffeehouse and cafe.

Catering

At Captain's Den in Newport News, we have endless catering options for your company's breakfast, lunch or even dinner meetings.  Our breakfast options include coffee (of course!) as well as fresh, healthy oatmeal and fruit and yogurt parfaits.  The Captain's Den also provides bagels, pastry platters and fruit as well as more hearty choices like breakfast sandwich platters.  For lunch, a platter of our best unique sandwiches, boxed lunches or boxed salads are great ways to fire up your meeting.

Need a caffeine boost to keep up with your kids while in Colonial Williamsburg?  Come to Aromas and we'll fix you right up!  Visitors and residents frequent Aromas World as a place to relax and unwind after spending the day in Williamsburg and Merchant's Square.  With breakfast, lunch and dinner options, we are your one-stop shop for any meal.  As we are also across the street from the College of William and Mary, we have plent of espresso and snacks to keep the students going! 

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner/Beer and Wine

We offer a wide variety of fine coffees and teas, exhilarating cold drinks including smoothies and frappes.  Our decaf and sugar-free options will meet any specific needs of our customers.  Try some of the best sandwiches, wraps and salads in town, freshly prepared by our chefs.  Our menu includes a number of tasty and satisfying vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.  For dinner, Aromas serves fantastic entrees including: BBQ Shrimp over Cheddar Grits, Carribbean Blackened Salmon, White Pita Pizza and our always-changing Daily Dinner Special.  And you can enjoy our lunch menu all night long!

Desserts

Our desserts are extraordinary, especially our Colossal Apple Pie!  For breakfast, we have an assortment of crumbly scones, old fashioned sticky buns, rich muffins and flaky croissants to satisfy your morning cravings.  Our pastry cases are always stocked with pies, cakes, brownies, cookies or cupcakes that are sure to complement your meal.  We always have gluten-free and vegan cookes that are out of this world!

Roasting

We roast our coffee in-house every Wednesday at Aromas in Williamsburg.  We begin with fresh green coffee beans and end with the delicious, robust coffee flavors that give Aromas its name.  Come watch the process from start to finish!
